Manchester United Legend Paul Scholes has advised his former club to sign Nigeria International Wilfred Ndidi.

Manchester United who are on a rebuilding process under new Dutch manager Erik Ten Haag has seen a lot of outings recently . The likes of Juan Mata, Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic and Jesse Lingard have all left the squad leaving Manchester United thin in the middle.

Manchester United are reportedly linked with LaLiga giants' Dutch midfielder Frenkie De Jong but Paul Scholes wants his former club to shift their attention from Barcelona to Leicester and get the services of Wilfred Ndidi.

“Leicester’s Wilfred Ndidi still very much fits the bill of what Manchester United are looking for, and with just two years remaining on his contract at Leicester, it’s likely to cost significantly less than the eye-watering sums associated with him in summer past, and while he missed the last two months of the season with a knee injury, he remains one of the best defensive midfielders in the game when fit, averaging an astounding 6.5 tackles and interceptions each match and ranking in the top seven percent of midfielders for aerial duels, too.” Scholes told Football Daily YouTube channel.

Wilfred Ndidi has been one of the sought out players in the Premier League and Paul Scholes hopes he could be an integral part of the Manchester United rebuild starting from 22/23.

If Manchester United listen to Paul Scholes, he would be just the second Nigeria International to play for the Red Devils after Odion Ighalo signed on loan on the final day of the winter transfer window on January 31, 2020.
