Two Nigeria Professional Football League clubs, Lobi Stars and Abia Warriors will clash in a top of the bill 2019 Aiteo Federation Cup Round of 16 match in Akure on Sunday, June 23, Completesports.com reports.

The Aiteo Federation Cup Round of 16 fixtures were released late Thursday night by the organisers, Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Abuja.

The all NPFL clubs super clash, Lobi Stars Vs Abia Warriors, has been scheduled to hold at the Akure Township Stadium, on Sunday, June 23, same day other Round of 16 fixtures are billed to hold, with the exception of EFCC FC versus Aklosendi FC, Plateau United versus Calabar Rovers and Kano Pillars versus Kwara United games respectively.

But while EFCC and Aklosendi match will hold at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja, venues for the games involving Plateau United and Calabar Rovers, as well as the Kano Pillars versus Kwara United ties will be decided by the NFF on Friday, June 21.

Abia Warriors rallied late – on the last match-day of the abridged NPFL season to avoid relegation to the lower league, while Lobi Stars held their heads to the Super Six, though they finished the Championship play-offs empty handed.

Aklosendi, EFCC and Smart City pulled the greatest upsets of the Aiteo Federation Cup Round of 32 games by eliminating top NPFL sides; Nasarawa United, Sunshine Stars and Enyimba respectively.

And such results has clearly made them teams to watch out for this weekend.
