Ghanaian goalkeeper Fatai Dauda has revealed that the Nigeria Professional Football league is far ahead of that of his native country in the area of facilities and players welfare.

Dauda joined Nigerian Champions Enyimba in 2016 and has represented the Club in CAF Champions league and Confederations Cup.

The 34-year-old knows also featured for Ashanti Gold in the Ghana Premier League , from where he moved to Enyimba .

Dauda said football in Nigeria is better than that of their west African neighbor, before revealing his reasons.

“You hardly see a bad pitch in Nigerian football,” Dauda, Ghana’s No.1 goalkeeper at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations said.

“The state governments intervene and ensure the pitches which are generally synthetic are put in good shap

“They also pay better than what the clubs in Ghana do.”

Dauda featured for AshGold between 2006 and 2013 and has been with Enyimba since 2016.
