Nigeria's atta king midfielder, Moses Simon has apologised for the disappointing start of the Super Eagles to their 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Super Eagles vice captain took to his X handle to express his profound apologies stating that it was not the results they expected.

The three times African champions played a one-all draw against the Crocodiles of Lesotho at the Godswil Akpabio Stadium, Uyo on Friday and against Zimbabwe in Kigali, Rwanda two days later.

The results keeps the Nigerian team in third place following Rwanda and South Africa match which put the two nations in first and second respectively.
