Nigeria U-20 Girls have emerged champions of the second edition of the WAFU-B U-20 Girls' Cup held in Benin Republic, NigeriaSoccernet.com reports.

The Falconets thrashed the Black Princesses 3-0 at the  Omnisport Stadium in Adjohoun, Benin on Tuesday.

Janet Akekoromowei opened the scoring for Nigeria after 17 minutes of action with a long-range free kick.

Five minutes later, Alaba Olabiyi doubled the lead with a close-range finish to keep Nigeria in a comfortable lead at the end of the first half.

The win was sealed at the one-hour mark following a flick on by Kareem Ramotalahi to score Nigeria's third of the day.

The win is the second win against Ghana in the competition after previously beating the defending champions 3-1, before the 3-0 win against Benin Republic in their second game.

The Falconets top the three-team tournament with nine points and are champions after winning all three matches played. The play Benin Republic on Wednesday in their last game.
