WAFCON 2024: Oparanozie Desire excited over commentary role, promises insightful analysis
Former Super Falcons captain, Oparanozie Desire has revealed her excitement after making the commentary team at the ongoing 2024 Women Africa Cup of Nations, making her debut in the clash between Nigeria and Tunisia which ended up 3-0 in favor of her nation.
A fourth minute strike by Asisat Oshoala steered the Super Falcons to a comfortable 3-0 victory over their Tunisian counterparts as the nine-time champions got their challenge for a 10th continental title smoothly off the ground in Casablanca on Sunday.
Reacting after the game on her commentary outing, she said; "As a child, I loved the beautiful game of football. When life gave me the opportunity, I worked tirelessly to earn my spot in a team full of talented women. I played and lived football and with Pride, I wore the green and white jersey representing my country in different.
"Women's African Cup of Nations (2010, 2014, 2016 & 2018), and as a team, we emerged victorious lifting the trophy in all 4 appearance. Now, I return, not on the pitch but to the commentary box, bringing my passion and expertise to elevate the fan's game day experience...

She is expected to be in the commentary box once again for Super Falcons clash against Algeria and Botswana.
