The relatives success of the Nigeria’s Flying Eagles continue to get better as two of the players have been included in the CAF Best XI of the 2023 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations, Nigeriasoccernet.com  reports.

Fullbacks, Augustine Njoku and Solomon Agbalaka are the only two Nigerians in the Best XI, following their exploit at the tournament in Egypt.

Agbalaka featured in all of the Flying Eagles’ six games in the competition. The left-back scored the winning goal in Ladan Bosso’s side’s 1-0 victory against hosts Egypt.

He won two Man of the Match awards against Egypt and Mozambique.

Meanwhile, Right-back Njoku made four appearances for the Flying Eagles in the competition.

Njoku started Nigeria’s first four games but was dropped for the semi-final and final games against Gambia and Tunisia.

Although Nigeria finish third at the championship but the performances of the two lads have earned them a place in in the Best XI alongside four Senegalese, two Congolese and Gambian each together with an Ugandan.
