U-20 AFCON: Flying Eagles to commence training next week

Nigeria U-20 side, the Flying Eagles will on Monday kick start training ahead of the U-20 African Cup of Nations holding in Egypt next year.

“The coach (Bosso) has proposed Monday, November 28, for the Flying Eagles to resume camp for the AFCON,” an official informed SCORENigeria

“He is waiting the approval of the NFF in this regard.”

Coach Ladan Bosso side regroup after emerging champions of the West African Football Union B Championship in Niger Republic in May this year.

Their triumph qualified them for the AFCON which will be played from February 18 to March 13, 2023.

A semi-final spot, in Egypt, for the Flying Eagles guarantees the team a place at the FIFA U20 World Cup in 2023.

The Flying Eagles have won a record of seven African U-20 Cup of Nations titles and are also two-times runners-up of the FIFA U-20 World Cup.

The 2023 FIFA U20 World Cup will take place in Indonesia.
