Valencia are ramping up efforts to bring back Nigerian striker Umar Sadiq in the January transfer window, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The forward, who impressed with five goals in 16 league appearances during his loan spell last season, has struggled for game time at Real Sociedad, making just five league appearances this term.

Valencia, currently 17th in LaLiga, are keen to bolster their attack after a disappointing campaign. Sadiq's familiarity with the club and proven goalscoring ability make him an attractive option.
