Torino new signing Afriyie Acquah scoops double in Ghanaians based in Italy awards
Ghana midfielder Afriyie Acquah has been named the best Ghanaian player in the Italian Serie A for the 2014/2015 season.
The new Torino signing was in contention with Richmond Boakye-Yiadom (Atalanta), Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu (Udinese) and Alfred Duncan.
Acquah had loan successful loan spells at Parma and Sampdoria where he made ten appearances and scored one goal.
The 23-year-old was also named the National Team Player after helping the Black Stars to win silver at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.
