Young forward Rafiu Durosinmi has completed a move to Italian Serie A side Pisa SC from Czech club Viktoria Plzen, marking a major step forward in his professional career, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The 23-year-old centre-forward, who recently celebrated his birthday, had been attracting interest from several European clubs after entering the final months of his contract with Viktoria Plzen, which was due to expire at the end of the current season. Pisa, currently battling for stability in Serie A, moved quickly to take advantage of the situation, reaching an agreement with both the player and his Czech club to bolster their attacking options.
Durosinmi leaves Viktoria Plzen after an impressive spell, having scored 13 goals in 32 appearances across all competitions. His performances consistently stood out, underlining his physical presence, work rate, and eye for goal at the highest level of European competition.
One of the highlights of his time in the Czech Republic was his crucial goal in Plzen’s memorable 2–1 UEFA Europa League victory over AS Roma at the Stadio Olimpico in October, a performance that further enhanced his reputation on the continental stage.
The move to Italy now offers Durosinmi the opportunity to test himself in one of Europe’s top five leagues, as he aims to make an immediate impact and help Pisa SC navigate the challenges of Serie A.
