It also announced through the commissioner for Works and Public Transport, Mojeed Mogbonjubola, the sum of N110m for the Falconets to execute the match.

The funding is expected to cover accommodation, feeding of players and officials, as well as access to training facilities, security, logistics, and medical support, as well as operational costs.

“The Council has approved N110 million to facilitate the camping and hosting arrangements for the U-20 Female National Team here in Ibadan. This move is in preparation for their upcoming Women’s World Cup qualifying match against Rwanda,” he stated.

The commissioner noted the initiative agrees with the state government's plan to invest in youth-focused and sports-related programmes.
