Galatasaray coach Okan Buruk has provided an update on the injury status of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen ahead of the team's upcoming fixtures against Alanyaspor and Liverpool, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Osimhen is recovering from an ankle injury sustained while playing for Nigeria in a World Cup qualifier against Rwanda during the September international break.

According to Buruk, Osimhen is experiencing minor aches and pains but is expected to be assessed further before the team's next two games.

Buruk as par Dailypost said (via Habersarikirmizi): “Osimhen was checked today. He also took part in yesterday’s training.

“He still has minor aches and pains. If he can tolerate these and play, we hope he will be with the team in the next match.

“We hope he will be in the squad for the Alanya match. We will try him out in training. We also expect him to be on the pitch for the Liverpool match.”

Galatasaray faces Alanyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Friday, followed by a Champions League match against Liverpool next Tuesday.
