Nigerian striker, Esther Okoronkwo has been named AFC Toronto's Player of the Month for September, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The 27-year-old Super Falcons forward scored four goals and provided two assists in four league appearances, playing a pivotal role in her team's success.

Okoronkwo's standout performances included a match-winning goal in AFC Toronto's 1-0 win over Halifax and two goals and an assist in the 7-0 thrashing of Vancouver.

She also scored a crucial equalizer in the 1-1 draw against Halifax, and setting up the only goal in the 1-0 victory over Ottawa.

Her impressive form earned her the Player of the Month award, recognizing her contributions to the team's success.
