A Nigeria Premier Football League side Wikki Tourist, have announced the signing of winger, Christian Ekong from Enyimba FC.

Sources revealed that the youngster complained of not having enough game time at the Enyimba International Stadium since the arrival of midfield Akanni Elijah last transfer window.

The 22-year-old former Dakkada FC winger will team up with one of the most decorated coach in the NPFL Usman Abdallah. Details of his contract wasn’t made public yet at the time of filing this report.

Coach of Wikki Tourist Usman Abdallah, is currently embattled following the poor form of his side, hence, his decision to go for the winger who can breakthrough opposition defense with passes.

Before The general election mid-season break embarked by NPFL clubs, the Bauchi-based club is battling with relegation, just one point above Dakkada FC who’s bottom of the NPFL Group B table. They managed a total of eight points from a possible twenty-seven.

“I’m very happy making this move,” excited Ekong told the media shortly after signing.

The midfield who can also play as a false nine confirmed that his target for this season is to help Wikki achieve at least two it’s main set out objective for this season.

“I can’t wait to get started; I hope to help the team avoid relegation. With coach Usman, we can achieve at least two of the club’s objectives before the end of the campaign,” he added.

Meanwhile the management of Wikki Tourist has welcomed the player to the City of Bauchi Stadium. He will now join his teammates in camp ahead of the NPFL restart next weekend.

Wikki tourist will welcome El Kanemi Warriors at home ground on March 22.
