Milan identify Boniface as possible summer signing

Italian most successful club in Europe, AC Milan have identified Nigeria and Bayer Leverkusen striker, Victor Boniface as a possible signing for the summer, Nigeriasoccernet.com  gathered.

According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Boniface is seen as the number one alternative to Joshua Zirkzee who is also on the radar of the seven times UEFA Champions League winner.

Althoguh multiple sources in Italy claim that Bologna star Zirkzee is Milan’s primary target for next season. However, the Dutch striker’s price tag will likely be over €50m, with a recent report from Gazzetta suggesting Bologna could be looking for a €75m sale for Zirkzee.

This development now means Milan could be twilting their attention to the Nigerian international which will likely cost them between €40m-€50m.

The Bayer Leverkusen star is a long-time Milan target, given that the Serie A giants already tried to sign him from Union St Gilloise but failed to reach an agreement with the striker’s entourage, seeing Bayer pay over €20m to secure the striker’s signature in 2023.

Boniface is contributing to Bayer Leverkusen’s impressive campaign with 16 goals and nine assists in 25 appearances across all competitions.
