The Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) has delivered its final ruling on the embattled Chairman of the Badagry Divisional Football Association (BDFA), Dr. Osondu Martins, following a series of damning allegations including sexual scandals, financial exploitation, and gross misconduct, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Initially placed on suspension along with his board pending investigations, Martins has now been handed a life ban after the LSFA’s emergency congress held on August 24, 2025.

The decision, reached unanimously, cites fraudulent practices, abuse of office, sexual assault, trafficking of minors, and violations of Article 20, subsection 3c of the 2023 LSFA Statutes (as amended).

A communique signed by LSFA Secretary, Mrs. Vera Hycient Okechukwu, confirmed that Martins is permanently barred from all football-related activities, while all BDFA board members have been placed on indefinite suspension for their complicity.

To ensure continuity, the congress also approved the formation of a caretaker committee to oversee the BDFA’s operations until a bye-election is conducted.
