The former Mali Coach revealed during the pre-match conference that he is nervous, but he likes this pressure.

He stated that the tie is the most important match in his coaching career.

“This is the most important game of my career, sometimes I’m nervous ,but I like this pressure.”

Nigeria is in a dicey situation with 14 points in 3rd position and will need to win against the Squirrels while expecting a slip from Bafana Bafana of South Africa to qualify for the 2026 World Cup.

The West African giants missed the last World Cup and are looking to avert a deja Vu even though the chances of qualification are not necessarily in their hands.
