Matchday 21 of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) produced thrilling moments across the country, highlighted by Abia Warriors’ impressive away victory over Kano Pillars and Enyimba International being held to a frustrating goalless draw by Barau FC in Aba, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

At the Sani Abacha Stadium, Abia Warriors delivered one of the standout results of the weekend by defeating Kano Pillars on their home turf. The Umuahia-based side showed composure and discipline to grind out a vital away win, further underlining their strong form this season and dealing a significant setback to Pillars’ ambitions of climbing the league table.

In Aba, nine-time champions Enyimba International were forced to settle for a 0–0 draw against a stubborn Barau FC at the Enyimba International Stadium. Despite enjoying long spells of possession and pushing forward in search of a winner, the People’s Elephant were unable to break down a well-organised Barau defence that held firm until the final whistle.

Elsewhere, Rivers United secured a narrow but important 1–0 victory over Remo Stars, with Aniekeme Okon emerging as the hero after scoring the decisive goal in the 81st minute. Ikorodu City also picked up maximum points at home, edging Kwara United 1–0 thanks to an early strike from Ezekiel Samuel in the 5th minute.

Plateau United maintained their solid home form with a 1–0 win over Wikki Tourists, as Temitope Vincent found the back of the net in the 52nd minute to separate both sides. Bayelsa United were convincing in their 2–0 victory against Shooting Stars (3SC), with Peter Ebimobowei opening the scoring in the 24th minute before Chinedu Emmanuel sealed the win deep into stoppage time.

Nasarawa United claimed a 2–1 win over Niger Tornadoes, with Anas Yusuf converting a penalty in the 13th minute and Segun Adekunle adding a second just nine minutes later, before Kufre Ebong pulled one back late on. Bendel Insurance also entertained their supporters with a thrilling 3–2 triumph over El-Kanemi Warriors in a closely contested encounter.
