NNL: Doma United clinch 1–0 away victory over Mighty Jets in Jos
Doma United recorded a hard-fought 1–0 win against Mighty Jets at the New Jos Stadium, securing their first away victory of the season and boosting their position in the Northern Group C standings, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Former Mighty Jets midfielder Mathew Okpahe Ogonyi scored the decisive goal in the 44th minute, giving the visitors a narrow lead at halftime.
The hosts pushed aggressively in the second half, forcing Doma United to defend deep for extended periods. Despite sustained pressure, Doma remained disciplined, maintaining possession with composed passing sequences while resisting Mighty Jets’ attacking threats.
Goalkeeper Emmanuel Oche delivered an outstanding performance, pulling off several crucial saves to preserve the lead. The defensive unit also held firm, clearing dangerous balls and disrupting Mighty Jets’ advances throughout the half.
Head coach Najib Mabo, himself a former Mighty Jets handler, organised his side in a compact and effective structure that proved vital in securing all three points. The victory follows Doma United’s recent win over Kada Warriors and lifts them to second place in Group C with six points.
