“It’s a big performance for the team." Lookman applauds
Atalanta forward, Ademola Lookman, has praised his team for their dominant performance after they thrashed Eintracht Frankfurt 3-0 on Wednesday night, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The victory marked the first win for new coach Raffaele Palladino, who took charge after replacing Ivan Juric earlier this month.
The Nigeria international opened the scoring on the hour mark, latching onto a precise cross from Charles De Ketelaere, before setting up Ederson for the second goal just minutes later.
De Ketelaere added the third goal, smashing home a rebound after Gianluca Scamacca's effort hit the crossbar.
Lookman, who for over two weeks has been in the news for all kinds of reasons, applauds the team for their effort.
“It’s a big performance for the team. It’s a good victory away from home,” Lookman told UEFA's official website.
“In the first half, we had a few chances, and coming out in the second half, we knew we had to create chances again.”
Atalanta moved to 10th position in the standings following the comfortable victory. Palladino praised his players for delivering a "magical night" on his Champions League debut.
