Galatasaray: Osimhen set to return for Fenerbahçe Derby
Galatasaray Club President, Dursun Özbek, has announced that star striker Victor Osimhen is set to return to the squad for Monday's Turkish Super Lig derby against Fenerbahçe, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Osimhen, who has been sidelined with a hamstring injury, has made a quicker-than-expected recovery and is expected to be part of the team.
Speaking to Ekol TV, Özbek said, "Osimhen will be in the squad. He was the target. Our other players who have returned from injury will most likely be in the squad as well. We will field a very good team".
Osimhen, who has been impressive for Galatasaray this season, missed the club's last two matches, including their Champions League defeat to Union Saint-Gilloise, due to the injury sustained while playing for Nigeria.
His return is a major boost for Galatasaray, who currently lead the Turkish Super Lig table.
Fenerbahçe, currently second in the table, has been unbeaten in 11 matches across all competitions and will be looking to upset Galatasaray's lead.
