Tella, who has been sidelined since September with a knee injury, has been training individually and is nearing full fitness.

The Nigerian international, according to head coach Kasper Hjulmand, is expected to return to action at the end of November.

“Nathan and Axel are already back on the pitch. Both are training [individually]. I think the international break over the next two weeks will help,” said the manager.

The 23-year-old has made four appearances for Leverkusen this season, registering one assist.

His return will be a boost for Hjulmand's side, who are looking to maintain their strong start to the campaign.
