Ex-international Austin Okocha has blamed England captain Harry Kane for missing the second penalty which denied the three lions the opportunity of at least going level against France in the quarter final of the World Cup in Qatar.

The striker haven gotten his first goal from the spot and cancelling Aurélien Tchouaméni’s lead had the opportunity to replicate same similar effort after his teammate Mason Mount was fouled in the box.

Kane kicked the ball beyond the goal post and England never came back into the game with France winning 2-1.

This after the game former Bolton midfielder Okocha reviewed Kane was “nervous and caught on two minds before” taking the penalty.

“I thought he looked nervous. His nerves got the best of him, penalty is a mind game especially when you’ve scored one,”Okocha said

“You start wondering should I go the same corner, should I change things and I though he was caught in two minds.

“But take nothing away from Le Blue, they came with a game plan and I think that is typical of this tournament, teams have found ways to a win games they don’t care if it’s ugly, they will take result and they play for the result today,” Okocha concluded.
