Nigerian Eagles emerged champions of the Boys U-16 category of the Gothia Puma trophy after an emphatic win over Maryland Bobcats FC from the USA on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Nigerian representatives thumped the United States side 3-0 at the Gamla Ulevi to win the final while maintaining their impeccable run in the competition.

Shamsu Mustapha opened score after two minutes and doubled the lead 11 minutes later.

In the 40th minute, Mubarak Adisa sealed the victory with a 3–0 goal – definitively securing the gold for Nigerian Eagles.
