Chicago Fire striker Patrick Nyarko has been nominated for Major League Soccer Goal of the Week for Week 26, the league announced.

The Ghanaian delivered a powerful volley to help Fire coast to a 3-2 win over New York Red Bulls last week to take his tally to three goals in 10 games.

However, the 29-year-old must fend off competition from Patrick Mullins (New York City), Kevin Doyle (Colorado Rapids), Diego Fagundez (New England Revolution) and Bradley Wright-Phillips (New York Red Bulls) to win the individual accolade.
