Ghanaian football star, Christian Atsu came to the rescue of a group of women who shoplifted clothes from the Vlisco Shop at the Accra Mall on Wednesday afternoon.

According to Ameyaadebrah.com, the women were arrested by security when it was realized that they had secretly carried unpaid items from the shop.

The cacophony that ensued at the Mall attracted the attention of Christian Atsu who was in the Mall at the moment. The footballer offered to pay for the items so that the ladies would be let off the hook.

Atsu is currently on holiday in his native country after signing a one-year loan deal with newly-promoted English side AFC Bournemouth.
