Ghana star Andre Ayew scored an audacious finish for first goal in the Swansea City shirt as netting the opener for the Swans in their 1-1 stalemate with Nottingham Forest in a pre-season game on Saturday.

Andre started in a strong-looking Swans side chosen by boss Gary Monk for the second game against Championship opposition in 24 hours and he marked it with a brilliant finish in the 59th minute.

The 25-year-old Ghana deputy captain registered the opening goal for Monk's men with an audacious finish after slaloming his way through the Swansea defence in the box.

He tried an improvised backheel to catch de Vries out after Routledge’s cross was not quite connected with by Eder. De Vries was at full stretch and comfortable but the nice bit of magic from the former Olympique Marseille man.

Swansea were unable to protect the lead as the Championship side levelled the scoring five minutes later.
