Super Eagles midfielder Frank Onyeka is expected to return back to his parent club in England, to Brentford when his loan deal expires with German outfit FC Augsburg at the end of the season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The midfield ace who joined the club back in the summer will return to the EPL side although it is not certain if head coach Thomas Frank would be willing to integrate him back into the team upon his return or he would seal a permanent move away as Augsburg decides against his permanent signature.
As per Florian Plettenberg, FC Augsburg expect Frank Onyeka to return to England after this season. At the moment, there are no ongoing talks over a permanent move. His loan from Brentford runs out at the end of the season.
The 27-year-old player has been a consistent presence for Augsburg, featuring in all but three of their twenty-eight Bundesliga matches played to date this season and has provided three assists from his usual position on the field.
As his contract with Brentford extends until the summer of 2027, the Nigerian international who has earned 26 caps for his country faces a significant decision regarding his future during the upcoming summer transfer window.
