Kparobo Arierhi opened the scoring in the 10th minute after a good pass from Bidemi Amole, before Ahmed Kaabaka netted for Egypt in the 65th.
Precious Benjamin sealed the win for Nigeria with a late penalty after Divine Oliseh was fouled.

The Flying Eagles, seven-time African champions, kick off their Group B campaign against Tunisia next Thursday, followed by matches against Morocco and Kenya. Egypt, in Group A, faces South Africa on Sunday.
