Samuel Chukwueze is pushing to join Fulham before the end of the transfer window but despite the agreement between all parties involved to get the deal done, AC Milan have reportedly decided to pause the exit due to injuries ahead of the game against Lecce, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.

AC Milan face Lecce this evening with Samuel Chukwueze the only forward option on the bench, as Christian Pulisic nurses a minor ankle injury.

While the American might still get some minutes, it is the Nigerian who is expected to be first in line as per As per Sempre Milan.

According to journalist Matteo Moretto, Milan and Fulham made significant progress in transfer negotiations between Tuesday and Wednesday, reaching an advanced stage on a deal structured as a loan with an obligation to buy for around €25 million.

Although the agreement appeared close, discussions have since stalled despite the player already accepting a contract worth €3.5 million net per season.

Moretto explained that the delay is likely down to Milan’s full focus on tonight’s clash with Lecce, after which talks with Fulham are expected to resume.
