Nigeria Flamingos started their under seventeen Women World Cup with a loss to European giant Germany on Tuesday.

 

The Flamingos surrended a one goal lead to fall by two goals to one at Goa, India.

Miracle Usani had given the Nigeria team the lead with a 30 minute strike as the Flamingos headed into the dressing room with the score at 1-0.

 

However, the Germans turn things around with a better performance in the second segment of the encounter.

 

In the 49th minute, Svea Stoldt got the Germans up and running with the goal to put play at equilibrium.

 

Mara Alber brought the Europeans to ecstasy as she scored the second put the score 1-2.

 

The Nigeria girls put up resilient performance for a comeback, but unfortunately they could mot make head way.

 

They will battle New Zealand on Friday in their next game.
