An Accra Fast Track High Court has set an August 14 date to rule on the Ghana Football Association motion to throw out the case preventing it from holding its presidential election.

This was after both parties appeared in court on Wednesday morning.

The plaintiff John Kwame Quayson failed to show up in court last week where they request to have the case adjourned to 17 August rejected.

Quayson secured an injunction to stop the Ghana FA from going to the poll in Tamale by halting the electoral process.

The Ghana FA opened nominations and only incumbent Kwesi Nyantakyi returned his forms. Nyantakyi is set to be re-elected for another four-year term.

The Ghana FA has fixed 17 August as the date to hold the presidential election in Tamale.
