England's young guns went strutting into the Under-17 World Cup final with a 3-1 victory over Brazil in the semifinals in India on Wednesday.

A hat trick from Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster (who also scored three goals against United States in the quarterfinals) was enough to secure an enticing final against Spain on Saturday.

However, despite impressive performances from Brewster and Man City prodigy Phil Foden, it has since been revealed that the England team may have taken their inspiration from a secret tactical weapon stashed away in the dressing room.

To help his youthful side fully visualise his tactical instructions, England coach Steve Cooper had a full-sized Subbuteo table installed in the middle of the dressing room in Kolkata.

He then used the miniature players to demonstrate certain defensive and attacking patterns.

Unorthodox maybe, but you simply can't argue with the results.
