Captain of GN Bank Division One League outfit Dunkwa United Fc, George Appiah says the team is ready and poised to go all out against Kotoko on Wednesday in an Elite Cup match meeting at Dunkwa-On-Offin.

The 27-year-old ex-Ghana U-17 International and AshGold Fc midfielder told Dunkwa-based Solar Fm in an exclusive interview that his teammates are up in morale to upset the Premier League giants on Wednesday.

“We are match-ready for Kotoko on Wednesday. We have trained well and conditioned ourselves for this task ahead. Playing against Kotoko is always a difficult one but we see it as any other game and so we are not perturbed the least. As we have approached every game this season, so shall we approach this one”, he said.

“We have prepared for this match just like we have been preparing for any other match. One thing we know is to do our best to beat Kotoko and be part of history makers. There is no pressure on us to beat Kotoko at our own backyard. The pressure would be on our opponents on Wednesday and that is good for us”, he opined.

“I can assure our fans that at the end of the game on Wednesday, Dunkwa United will continue its journey to becoming a flesh in the skin of the reds”, he continued.

George Appiah was a member of Ghana’s U-17 squad that participated in the FIFA U-17 World Championship that took place in Peru in 2005 under the tutelage of now Kotoko coach David Duncan.
