Christantus Uche is expected to remain at Crystal Palace until the end of the season despite limited game time, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Uche joined Palace on a loan deal that includes an obligation to buy, triggered if he makes 10 Premier League starts. However, he has featured for only 44 minutes so far, with Oliver Glasner’s side enjoying an impressive start to the campaign.

The club has no intention of terminating the 22-year-old forward’s loan in January even though he has struggled for minutes since arriving at Selhurst Park as per Standard Sport.

The Nigerian attacker did deliver a promising cameo in Palace’s 2–1 victory over Fulham last weekend, leaving a positive impression on the coaching staff. It is understood that, despite his reduced role, Uche is eager to stay at the club and contribute as they push for an unexpected Champions League qualification.

Crystal Palace currently sit fourth in the Premier League, having suffered only three defeats across their opening 15 matches.

With several key players expected to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations, Glasner will soon face decisions regarding squad depth. Uche, who has been named in Eric Chelle’s 52-man provisional squad for the tournament also looks likely to represent the Super Eagles, adding another layer of consideration for the manager as the season progresses.
