Boavista head coach Armando Texeira says defender Samuel Inkkom’s experience will be key for the coming season
Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has received praise from his head coach Jaime Pacheco after his sides 0-0 drawn game against Varzim in preseason.
Inkoom joined the Portuguese top flight side earlier this season following a troubled loan spell with DC United.
The former Basel defender has been entrusted with responsibility after head coach Armando Texeira singled him out for praise in their 0-0 drawn game against Varzim.
The 26 year old has blown hot and cold in his career but does have experience after winning the FIFA U-20 world cup with Ghana in 2009.
He has also represented the Black Stars at two world cups in 2010 and 2014. Armando Texeira says Inkoom will be key to their success in the league this coming season.
“We have a lot of players coming with and it will take time before they get use to our systems,” Jamie Pacheco said
“Samuel and Davies have a lot of experience and that will be key to our success to this season.”
