Gyan, 26, hurt his knee in Monday’s 1-0 defeat against Gefle IF and scans have revealed the full extent of the damage.
The Ghanaian midfielder has thus been ruled out of action for the rest of the season to enable him to undergo surgery and rehabilitation.

The news will be massive blow to manager Jan Jönsson who has been relying on the Ghanaian for their survival push.
Halmstad are just two places above the relegation zone in the Swedish Allsvenskan league.
